LITTLE MOMMY was first published in 1967 and was recently reissued in 2008 as a Little Golden Book Classic.

I loved writing and illustrating this book because I could relive my childhood as a little girl “playing dolls.” I did all these things with mine!  I wanted to create a book that I would have loved to read when I was a little girl.

My daughter Jennifer was my model for LITTLE MOMMY, although she actually preferred animals to dolls.  She mothers a family of six cats today.
